Kristin Langer Bertrand began her training at age 5 with Beatrix de la Roche Aldana in Central Florida. Trained in the Vaganova method at Orlando City Ballet, and in the Cechetti and Balanchine methods at Orlando Ballet School (formerly Southern Ballet Theatre), Ms. Bertrand went on to study
ballet at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, and to teach as a member of the Orlando Ballet School faculty. Under the directorship of Peter Stark and Fernando Bujones, Ms. Bertrand helped to run the OBS's award-winning education and outreach program and to direct year-end performances and summer workshops.

Ms. Bertrand studied the Vaganova pedagogy with John White of Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, earning certification to teach the first three years of the Vaganova syllabus. She is an American Ballet Theatre Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT Teacher Training Intensive
in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT National Training Curriculum.

During her seven-year tenure as a senior staff member at Ballet San Jose in San Jose, California, Ms. Bertrand served as school administrative director and a key faculty member, and established education and outreach programs that served thousands of underrepresented students in Santa Clara
County.
