Having enjoyed an international ballet career, Benjamin is now excited to focus his energies on future generations of dancers and dance lovers as a teacher and coach. Having taught extensively around the US and Canada, he seeks to instill a sense of deep respect and love of ballet in each of his students. His teaching philosophy hinges on the geometrical basis for the technical foundation of classical ballet that is expressed through an intimate and joyful sense of musicality. Having had a career plagued by injury, Benjamin's teaching style is deepened by a kinesthetic understanding of body mechanics and its relation to classical technique. He believes that ballet teaches students self-assuredness, confidence, self-reflection, independence and collaboration, and he believes that everyone- young and old- should take ballet classes and invest in their local ballet, dance and art organizations. Currently pursuing his Master's in Arts Administration, Benjamin lives in the Sunset district of San Francisco, and is thrilled to be teaching at the Pacific Ballet Academy.
